The external thickening process is a complex composite process of
upsetting, diameter expansion and extrusion.
The purpose of thickening is to enhance the strength of the
threaded connection of the oil pipe, increase the service life of
the threaded connection, avoid breakage at this place, and prolong
the life of the oil pipe and prevent accidents!
The types are divided into: common shorts are divided into ordinary
shorts, double male shorts, and overall thickened shorts
Ordinary short connection: divided into flat type (NUE) oil pipe
short connection and thickened (EUE) oil pipe short connection.
The processing is to directly process threads at both ends, and the
thickened short connection is to pass through the thickening of the
nozzle, the outer diameter of the nozzle becomes larger, the wall
thickness is thickened, and then the thread is processed.
This in turn increases the strength and torque of the threads.
Double male short connection: one end of the standard short
connection is a male thread, and the other end is a female buckle
(coupling or direct processing), while the duplex short connection
is a male thread at both ends, without a coupling or without a
female buckle.
After the oil pipe end is heated, it is sent to the thickening
equipment for upsetting.
Make the tubing end plastically deformed (the inner diameter of the
pipe end does not change, and the wall thickness of the pipe end
and the effective length of the thick wall section are increased).
